Cell Therapeutics just announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell $30 million of shares of its Series 3 Preferred Stock and warrants to purchase shares of its common stock in a registered offering. Each share of Series 3 Preferred Stock is convertible into approximately 823 shares of common stock at a conversion price of $1.21375 per share of common stock, for a total of approximately 24,690,000 common shares. Cell Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical industry leader with a focus on oncology drugs.

Western Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN), $3.97, +0.22, 5.87%, traded today on double its average volume ranging between 3.61 and 3.98 managing to end the day a penny under the day's high, on no news. This past December the company announced that its issuer bid for 10 million common shares, being approximately 5.4% of Western's public float has been accepted by the TSX. MJS traded steadily between 0.05 and 0.07 surging in volume, on no news. Majestic Gold is a gold exploration and development company with a portfolio of projects in China.
