I believe that Genasense could have been a "Super-Star" had it been targeted to the right form of cancer.
Keep in mind, the clinical trials were for "Advanced Melanoma" in patients that had not recieved chemotherapy.
Advanced Melanoma is 100% fatal! Add to that, almost all cancers are fatal when no chemotherapy is used.
Seems to me that the original use of Genasense was a "Suicide Mission" for this drug.
Maybe it was laying the groundwork for making Tesataxel the "True Star"?
