This fresh article from 12/8/2009 is not related to Aurus or Krong directly, but about Magadan/Kolyma/Yagodinskiy - exact location, where Krong claims to produce gold. "Golden Heart of Russia is no longer beating." Poverty, crime, murders - local police cooperates with criminals, confiscates gold,... Less than 50% of gold is officially registered and delivered to the State, the rest is stolen and illegally transported to Ingushetia (criminal region a-la Chechnia). Local miners left, most of the workers are immigrants and illegals... "Only 4 good "artels" in region now: Mayskaya, Polevaya, Rudnichenko (Shturmovskoye), and Krivbass" (eik: it's about Yagodinskiy district where Krong is allegedly a big producer).
