well said lowman. my wife and i chatted about this recently.

how can ya beat washington d.c. if everyone in office is a lawyer.

how in da heck can we get out of this mess if all are lawyers?

Originally, mick, our founding fathers tried to create a government that had NO past or present attorneys taking office or House positions. They knew early on, the effects that those 'nefarious types' could have on government/the system/our country.

first started in kenya.

Somewhere along the line though (probably in the Amendments, natch), provisions were changed to allowed them public office. (not sure when, but it must've been before Lincoln, as he was an attorney most of his adult life).

this is why problems today. i have clock to at rush forum.

Makes sense too, that a government should not be ran by litigating, conniving, crooked attorneys.

We need TORT reform in a massive, major way, but of course, 'litigators' find ways to prevent that from happening, so expect little 'reform' to ever actually happen on a scale that we seriously need.
