Better yet why don't we discuss the BRCA1, BRCA2 / Brac test some more and compare it to Recaf. we can clue people in on the vast market available in the cancer testing arena.

Remember your recent post," The presentation by Abbott at the ISOBM does show that that RECAF works but it does not in any way indicate there will be a market for the test. If you have a product but no market, you might as well not have the product.

Maybe some people are misunderstanding what I am saying. I am not saying that RECAF does not do a reasonably good job determining if an unknown serum sample is cancerous or non cancerous. The problem is the same with all universal markers, the unknown source of the cancer remains unknown. Universal markers generate a lot more questions than they answer. More questions is not what a doctor wants to hear when he runs a test. He wants answers.

You know the test that is currently offered that is selling $326 million per quarter. The same $300 dollar test that is IMO worthless but everyone is apparently flocking to to see if they will ever get cancer in a lifetime.

Lets see. It has a 1.3 Billion dollar market per year. Hmmmm Why would that be?

A fear of getting cancer....Maybe

1.3 billion per year at $300 per test would eaqual 4 million three hundred forty six thousand tests per year.

We can just call it 4 million tests per year to keep it simple.

The current test selling 326,000,000 per quarter or 1.3 BILLION per year tells us what?

Does this test tell one if they have cancer? NO!
Does this test tell one that they don't have cancer? Nope
Does this test tell one where cancer is in the body? NO!
Does this test tell one if they will never get cancer? NO!
Does this test tell one if they will get cancer? NO!
Does this test have imaging capability? NO!
Does this test have false positives? OH YES IT DOES!
Does this test have False Negatives? OH YES IT DOES!
Has this test caused persons to go under the knife for no apparent reason whatsoever? OH YES! Big time!!!

EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE CANCER? YEP!

DID they know they did not have cancer? YEP!

AND THEY STILL HAD BREASTS and OVARIES REMOVED? YEP!

IS this test organ specific? NOPE!

How much in sales did they have last quarter?

Only $326,000,000 Three hundred twenty six million in sales.
