Here is what my group did this weekend....
Patriots Make 9/12 Freedom Rally Huge Success
120+ At MacDill! 550+ At Gasoline Alley
970 WFLA Launches Weekend With Spots
970 WFLA helped launch the weekend with spots and interviews on the morning shows. Friday morning, Jack and Ted gave us a nice plug on “AM Tampa Bay” with an outline of the weekend activities and a link to our Greater Tampa portal www.TampaBay912.org on “Heard It On The Show”. Saturday, Jeff Fisher followed up on “AM Tampa Bay Weekend Edition” with David Traynor’s coverage of the protest in D.C. and a quick interview for us to get people excited about the day’s events.
120+ Patriots Honor Troops In Downpour at MacDill Air Force Base
With the great coverage on WFLA and participation from the Tampa, N. Pinellas, and S. Pinellas 9/12s, there were soon 120+ patriots outside of MacDill Air Force Base waving flags and holding patriotic placards to honor our military. Plenty of grateful horn honks returned thanks from servicemen as they entered and exited the base much drier inside their cars than the patriots braving the downpour of Saturday’s rain. And thanks to the radio spot, even non-9/12’ers dropped what they were doing; grabbed umbrellas and flags; and took a post on Dale Mabry and Interbay. Photos posted.
550+ Cheer D.C. Protest And Glenn Beck At Gasoline Alley
Local patriots were rearing to go at Gasoline Alley as the doors opened 40 minutes early. Big cheers welcomed Glenn Beck to the screen while food and beverages were enjoyed by the 550+ who turned out. Many thanks to Eric Davies and his partners who offered their place to us. Thanks to the generosity of the crowd, the three 9/12 organizations together raised over $600.
