Thank you for bringing the latest misleading article by the Pittsburgh Tribune Review to our attention.
Contrary to the article's claims we have both provided Hempfield Township with a demolition application and a progress report. Moreover, we have publicly announced our progress in a manner that Township officials have access to.
As to the demolition application, we submitted the application with a check to the Township. At the second hearing on the matter, Township officials advised our President that they are not processing demolition permits but that a demolition permit was required from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor. To date, we have not received a formal response from the Township and they have not returned our check. It is not understood why they would falsely claim that they did not receive an application. Similarly, a progress report was provided to the Township Commissioners and a second report was provided by our legal counsel to Hempfield's legal counsel. Again, it is not clear as to what the motivation of Hempfield Township is to contiually provide false information.
We have sent a copy of this email to one of the Township Supervisors. Perhaps they can investigate why the Township continually provides defamatory and incorrect information to the newspaper and takes no action to correct their statements. In addition, we will ask our legal counsel to inquire as to the continued misleading public commentary that we have repeatedly voiced our objections to.
