I shot another video last night of cleaning a moderately priced paint brush and a paint stirrer that had about 4 years worth of paint built up on it. What I did was mix a solution of WC and water at about 50/50 and let them soak for about 2 hours.
Unfortunately I did not like how the video turned out, so here are some screenshots from it, showing the before and after.
The setup:
Paint brush after a two hour soak. The bristles were supple and ready for the next project. (Hopefully not soon...)
And the paint stirrer came clean after peeling the paint off.
