Adam Falkoff

Mr. Falkoff is President and a Principal of the firm. He provides strategic and legislative counsel to Presidents and Prime Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, Ambassadors, non-governmental organizations, multi-national corporations, venture funded companies, foundations, and individuals successfully helping clientele understand, anticipate and navigate the complex public policy environment. While also working with domestic clientele, Mr. Falkoff was the co-founder of the Quinn Gillespie & Associates (QGA) International Practice. His former colleague, Ed Gillespie serves as Counselor to the President – the President of the United States' most senior advisor. In 2007, Mr. Falkoff was named, in Washington Life Magazine’s Power 100 as Gillespie’s protégé and a rising ‘K Street’ star.

Mr. Falkoff has worked on a variety of domestic and international issues involving telecommunications, technology, transportation, defense, educational institutions, traditional and alternative energy, financial services, health care, insurance, and the environment for clients including AT&T, BHP Billiton, Coca-Cola, De Beers, General Electric Corporation, Intel Corporation, Merck & Co., Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Qualcomm, Sony Corporation, U.S. Trust Corporation, Unilever, Verizon and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to joining QGA, Mr. Falkoff served as the Vice President of Government Affairs for The Gilman Group working with Former Chairman of the U.S. House International Relations Committee, Ben Gilman, Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chairman Cass Ballenger and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Phil Crane. Before joining The Gilman Group, Mr. Falkoff served as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), lobbying the Congress and the Administration on behalf of over 2,000 corporations. Prior to CEA, he worked with American Express, and at McKinsey & Co. He served U.S. Senator Alfonse D'Amato, U.S. Senator Bob Dole and the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

Mr. Falkoff has been an invited guest speaker, panelist, and moderator on a wide range of public policy related topics and has been quoted and/or appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Palm Beach Post, Politico, Roll Call, The Hill, The Washington Diplomat, Jack O'Dwyer's Newsletter, Capitol File, Washington Life, National Journal, Technology Law Journal, Appliance Magazine, and The Opportunist Magazine.

Mr. Falkoff received a B.A. from Duke University and both an M.B.A. and M.I.M. (Master of International Management) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management on an academic scholarship. During his graduate studies, he served as an assistant to former Vice President Dan Quayle. Mr. Falkoff also holds a Certificate in International Law from the University of Salzburg, Institute on International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and guest lecturer Justice John Stevens instructed these studies.




Richard Rossi

Mr. Rossi is a Principal of the firm with over 20 years of experience at securities law, international legal affairs and direct investment. Mr. Rossi provides integrated strategies for managing the most difficult of structural issues including securities offering materials, SEC filings to go public, anti-take over strategies, financial presentations and capital raising plans, annual shareholder meeting preparation, valuations and corporate governance.

Mr. Rossi’s vast network of financial, corporate and NGO relationships including global investment funds and brokerage houses result in powerful information, advice, and outcomes for clients across all CapitalKeys sectors.

Mr. Rossi has been an invited guest speaker and is a published writer on topics such as mergers & acquisitions, securities law, board of director formation and liabilities, private placements, and taking a company public. Mr. Rossi also has extensive international and legal relationships with the global investment community particularly in London, Geneva, Dubai, and Central and South America.

He received a B.S. in Business Management and is a graduate of the University Of Miami School Of Law where he was a member of the Law Review. He is a member of the bar in Florida.




Susan Lavine

Ms. Lavine is a Principal of the firm bringing over 20 years of political, corporate, and philanthropic experience through her work in the Clinton Administration and with corporations, non-profits, foundations, and affluent families. Prior to joining CapitalKeys, she worked with a variety of clients including the United Nations Foundation People Speak Program, NASDAQ, America Online, Wachovia, the William Haseltine Foundation for Medical Sciences and the Arts, and the Engelhard Foundation.

During the Clinton Administration, Ms. Lavine served in the Office of the White House Chief of Staff before being tapped to be the White House Liaison for the Democratic National Committee. She later received an appointment to serve Secretary Mickey Kantor and then Secretary William Daley in the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Commerce.

Prior to her service in the Clinton Administration, Ms. Lavine worked for the Delegation Offices of the European Community, Hill and Knowlton, U.S. News and World Report, and as the Deputy Marketing Director of the multi-million dollar national Bill of Rights Project commemorating the 250th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. Ms. Lavine began her career in the office of House Ways and Mean Committee Member Congressman William Coyne.

An active supporter of philanthropic causes, she has supported the Clinton Global Initiative, the American Heart Association, the Washington Area Women’s Foundation Grant Committee, and the DC Leukemia Cup Regatta for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Ms. Lavine has been published in The Washington Post and co-produced an episode of the PBS Charlie Rose show with guest Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

She received her B.A. from Smith College and studied at the Yale University Paul Mellon Centre for British Studies, London England.




Christopher Cooper

Mr. Cooper is a Principal of the firm providing government relations and strategic communications counsel to the firm’s clients on a wide array of domestic and international issues. Prior to joining CapitalKeys, as Managing Director for a Global Public Relations Firm, Mr. Cooper worked extensively with matters involving Fortune 500 direct foreign investment and international trade for clients such as Aegon, GlaxoSmithKline, Intel, Microsoft, Nestle, Nokia, Rabobank, Siemens, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Additionally, he has worked on travel and tourism expansion in developing economies.

Earlier in his career, during the Clinton Administration, he served at the U.S. Department of State and as a Professional Democratic Staff Member on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He is a strong supporter of human rights and has volunteered his time and expertise towards ending the genocide in Darfur.

He earned a B.A. in government from Harvard University and his Masters in International Public Policy from Georgetown University.




Paul Taylor

Mr. Taylor provides business strategy and technical counsel to the firm’s clients on a wide array of domestic and international issues. A former McKinsey & Co. consultant, Mr. Taylor has extensive experience with the FDA and issues related to health care. He has also worked with several alternative energy technology companies. Mr. Taylor assists with funding sources for client’s seeking additional capital.

Prior to joining CapitalKeys, he worked on the Obama for America Campaign. Prior to joining the campaign, he was Managing Partner of a New York based boutique private equity firm specializing in microcap companies in the medical technology and alternative energy / green technology spaces. Earlier in his career he worked as a manager for Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Mr. Taylor has earned perennial listings in “Who’s Who in America,” and “Who’s Who in Medicine”. He has been an effective advocate and fundraiser for Democratic candidates seeking local and national office.

He received a B.A., graduating cum laude, from Stanford University and holds a M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.




M. Scott Tannen

Mr. Tannen brings over 10 years of Capitol Hill experience through his work for senior Democratic members of the House of Representatives involved in leading legislative efforts. Prior to working with the Congress, he was a senior team member of the International Monetary Fund of the World Bank Group. Through this position he travelled extensively and developed an expertise for the global capital markets.

Earlier in his career he served at the Democratic Campaign Congressional Committee (DCCC) and the National Governors Association. He has also volunteered his expertise to several Democratic Congressional campaigns.

He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master in Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
