View Additional ProfilesNASHUA, N.H., May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ezenia! Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EZEN.OB), a leading provider of secure, comprehensive collaboration and communication solutions, will continue to provide its leading edge technology product, InfoWorkSpace, to support the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) International for its "SOLUTIONS Series" conferences.

InfoWorkSpace, with its scalable and secure Conference Center capable of supporting an auditorium-style meeting with a panel of presenters and thousands of participants, will be used to provide real-time access and participation by attendants who cannot physically attend the conference in person at the upcoming "Inter-Agency, Allied and Coalition Information Sharing" SOLUTIONS conference, http://www.afcea.org/events/solutions/09/infosharing/intro.asp, on May 19-20, 2009 at the National Conference Center, Lansdowne, VA. InfoWorkSpace provides simultaneous access to and recording of concurrent tracks of parallel topics and themes during the conference. This enables participants to actively engage in the discussion and/or play back previous or concurrent sessions of interest.

AFCEA International, http://www.afcea.org, established in 1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. The AFCEA SOLUTIONS Series, www.afceasolutions.org, in particular, promotes a detailed dialogue between government and industry on issues of national importance and seek a balanced approach wherein the government can share current thinking and direction, and industry can offer their perspective and input on current and projected capability. The Solutions Series is based on "Town Hall" formats, where PowerPoint presentations are replaced by open dialogue among government, industry and academic individuals.

Frequently, members from overseas as well as national chapters could not attend, due to travel time and expense obstacles and miss out on participating in such critical dialogue on issues of national importance. With InfoWorkSpace and its Conferencing Center capability, such disadvantage is eliminated and, furthermore, AFCEA can now provide asynchronous access and retrieval of previous sessions and conferences.

Prior to this upcoming event, Ezenia also provided its best-of-breed InfoWorkSpace solutions to three previous AFCEA-sponsored conferences:

1. "SOLUTIONS Series - Information Assurance," September 09-10,
2008 at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center
2. "SOLUTIONS Series - Cyberspace: Challenges and Solutions for
National Security," December 10-11, 2008 at the Ronald Reagan
International Trade Center

3. And, more recently, the "8th Annual AFCEA NOVA Naval IT Day,"
March 04, 2009 at Tysons Corner, Virginia sponsored by the Northern
Virginia chapter.

"This has been a great relationship in that we are assisting in bringing the dynamics of live conferences to those who cannot attend in person, due to location and budgetary travel restrictions. Our participation in these conferences extends our presence and demonstrates that geographic impediments do not have to limit an individual's ability to function in a real-time environment. InfoWorkSpace enables tele-working so individuals can provide the same results and productivity as in a physical presence. Using InfoWorkSpace at previous AFCEA conferences has greatly expanded the number of participants who are able to participate in the conference dialogue," says Bob Melissinos, Ezenia Vice President of Business Systems. "In return", Melissinos continues, "we are showcasing the power of InfoWorkSpace to the customer base that we have been serving in various branches of the Armed Forces and the Intelligence Community as well as gaining additional visibility with new potential customers at various agencies and participating companies."

Jim Griggs, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at AFCEA International, comments, "We are now able to bring more individuals and their expertise into these forums, providing a marked improvement in the overall flow of information across this unique community of interest."

The Federal Government has focused on collaboration capabilities as one of its top technology goals. Ezenia, which has been supporting numerous government agencies for more than a decade, continues to figure prominently in the provision of collaboration solutions.
