ACTC's single cell program (non destruction of embryo),

This post is only about the FED grants trying to be obtained by ACTC. I have no doubt all data for this technology platform is in the proper places and has been for years. If FED monies are to be allocated to ACTC's technology it will be distributed through the NIH. So, I rule out the idea that the right people or places are unaware of this program but rather some reasoning why it has been "rebuffed", as ACTC put it. I have tried to read as many articles as I can, pro and con, on this platform and in some form or another the question of whether the embryo will always stay in tact and function normally after the single cell is removed seems to come up. Another words, is the process 100%
non destructive to embryo? The info below is from the NIH site and explains ACTC's platform. IMO, the quote below by the NIH may be their reason to date for not funding this technology. At the very least I would think the technology is deserving of FED dollars for research purposes only to alleviate concerns, jmo...

ALTERNATIVE METHODS FOR PREPARING PLURIPOTENT STEM CELLS

"However, ethical considerations make it uncertain whether scientists will ever test if the cells remaining after removal of a single cell can develop into a human being, at least in embryos that are not at risk for carrying a genetic disorder. Moreover, it is unclear whether the single cell used to generate a pluripotent stem cell line has the capacity to become a human being."
