Oil Stock Winners and Losers: Chevron

The Amex Oil Index was up 1.5%, or 13.52 to 888.89.

Light, sweet crude oil futures for May delivery were recently trading higher by $2.48 to $51.86 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Shares of Sunoco(SUN Quote) were up 3% to $29.06.

Chevron(CVX Quote), which will provide a first-quarter interim earnings update after the market close today, was higher by 1.1% to $69.23.

ConocoPhillips(COP Quote) shares were higher by 1.2% to $40.01.

BP(BP Quote) was down 0.7% to $39.31.

Exxon Mobil(XOM Quote) shares were higher by 1.6% to $70.06.

Royal Dutch Shell(RDS.B Quote) shares were down 0.5% to $42.82.
