Presented in top quality interactive 3D graphics, the lite version of ``BMW Z4 -- An Expression of Joy'' features a simplified official BMW Z4 car configurator based on the 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data provided to Artificial Life's designers by BMW, as well as a unique driving game that lets players drive the BMW Z4 while at the same time painting a picture using the car's tires.

The virtual car configurator in the lite version enables players to choose between the official BMW Z4 colors and rims to create their own roadster. The option to drive with an open or closed retractable hardtop gives additional authenticity. Selections can be made by simply tapping on the various components. Players can virtually rotate the car around in order to view the car from different angles. The customized cars that players create may be saved for use in the driving game.

The creative driving and painting game is another major feature of the BMW Z4 application. Inspired by the BMW Z4's theme of ``An Expression of Joy,'' this game allows players to use the tire tracks of their BMW Z4 to paint on a white canvas. When players steer the car it is as if they are holding a paintbrush and the tire tracks they leave are the brushstrokes. The player can choose between different colors of paint. Once the masterpieces are finished, they are entered into a gallery inside the game so that the players can view them later or share them with others.

This game also features an official video clip of the real BMW Z4 ``An Expression of Joy'' event.

The game is now live in Apple's App Store and is available for download at: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=307366716&mt=8

The full version of the title is tentatively scheduled for release in May 2009 pending approval.

``BMW is looking forward to releasing this high quality mobile game with an extraordinary gameplay giving consumers the chance to experience the 'An Expression of Joy' idea of the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster. Artificial Life's great expertise enabled a remarkable implementation of this lite version and the upcoming full version, which will bring even more fascinating BMW Z4 content to iPhone and iPod touch customers,'' said Johannes Krieg, BMW Sports Marketing & Cooperations.

``We are truly excited to launch our very first car title. I would like to thank BMW AG for being very supportive throughout the whole production process. This lite version adds 'color' to the classic driving game and combines artistic painting with driving in a never before seen way. The full version of the game will have even more exciting features,'' said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life, Inc.
