In recognition of this leadership, SC Magazine UK has named Entrust's ePassport security solution as a finalist for their "Innovation Award."

Entrust's ePassport solution was selected by a panel of industry experts from more than 600 entries submitted in the "Innovation Award" category. Winners will be announced at the SC Magazine UK Awards presentation on April 28, 2009, at the Hurlingham Club, Ranelagh Gardens, in London.

Entrust is a leader in the advancement of ePassport technology and serves as a trusted security advisor for 30 countries and nine of the top 10 e-governments worldwide. As ranked by Accenture, the top eight e-governments in the world, including Finland, Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, use Entrust solutions to protect sensitive information and enable secure online services.

Criteria for the award included a company's involvement in compelling research and development, as well a strong portfolio of customer references that highlight a high level of product and customer service. Additional considerations analyzed a company's execution of its overall mission and vision.

Establishing the benchmark for ePassport innovation, Entrust performed flawlessly in September 2008 at a key interoperability test for second-generation ePassports in Prague, Czech Republic. Entrust demonstrated a successful PKI certificate exchange using United Kingdom and Slovenia systems in a multi-country test environment. Showcasing a "point-and-click" PKI system, Entrust confirmed that the security infrastructure for second-generation ePassports, based on Extended Access Control (EAC), is truly ready for global deployment.
