Sounds like we'd be extremely fortunate (or well planned by Addax) if we were able to snag, this drillship:

Deepwater Pathfinder sets Nigerian deepwater record

Offshore staff

HOUSTON -- Transocean Inc.'s ultra deepwater drillship Deepwater Pathfinder has set the record for drilling in the deepest water depth offshore Nigeria. The vessel drilled the Opukiri 1X well for Devon Energy offshore Nigeria in 2,766 m (9,075 ft) water depth.

The previous Nigerian water-depth record was 2,690 m (8,826 ft) set last year for Petrobras on the Kiniun 1X well by the Transocean ultra deepwater drillship Deepwater Discovery.

Under current contract with Shell.......

Transocean's high-specification drillship, the Deepwater Pathfinder, has been awarded an estimated 800-day contract by an operator consortium led by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company for drilling operations offshore Nigeria. The contract is expected to commence in April 2006, immediately following the conclusion of the rig's current contract. Revenues of an estimated $315 million could be generated over the 800-day contract period, excluding revenues for mobilization, demobilization and client reimbursables.
