I'm over in Italy and I can see first hand what the Euro has done over here. It has almost single handedly destroyed the Italian people.
They weren't in the best condition under the lira, but their economy has been declining ever since the euro took over.

Germany is not suffering so bad, but most countries are not doing so well. The reason is because prices have adjusted for the stronger euro while salaries have not.

The average Italian's salary is about 900-1,400 euro a month. It's absolutely not enough to live which is why most of them live with their parents until they're over 30 years old.

Now that our new "messiah" has single handedly doubled our nations debt with the swipe of a pen with almost no benefit to the american people, we will soon find our economy in the same shape as europes.

Americans want the government to pay for everything from health care to emergency aid. We are taking on Marxist ideals daily and too consumed with sports and American Idol to give a damn.
While we're watching the NBA, our new government is funding liberal programs like overseas abortion clinics with the wonderful "stimulus plan".
Don't ask me how that's supposed to help our economy, but they're using our tax dollars to do stuff like that.

Something's gotta give. Eventually we will not be strong enough to keep this spending pace up. This stimulus plan was an excuse for liberals to fund all their programs with little to no resistance. It has very little to do with helping our economy. Why else would funding worthless programs, abortions and birth control be included in the plan?

I believe just like the great depression was a design to get people to sign up for the social security system, this "depression" is a design for us to hand over more of our rights to government control. It has already happened and we don't even know it yet.

Many thought that Rome would never collapse either, but it did. We might recover from this crisis, but how much longer will it be before our society is totally consumed by our own lusts and we fall from the inside out just like the great Roman Empire?

It's only a matter of time.
