Telecom companies shares up at the close of trading
NEW YORK (AP) --
Shares of some top telecom companies were up at the close of trading:
AT&T Inc rose $.21 or .8 percent, to $25.37.
Qwest rose $.14 or 4.2 percent, to $3.44.
Sprint Nextel rose $.12 or 5.0 percent, to $2.53.
Verizon rose $.97 or 3.2 percent, to $31.56.
