Net: The deadline target date for the ALJ to issue the initial determination is 11/25. I believe the determination will be posted on that date, but it will probably be confidential; however, based on what I have seen, the ALJ will also issue a public summary of his findings. As to whether the ALJ could delay the deadline, I read one case where the parties requested and received a change (delay) in the schedule because of settlement negotiations; however, I cannot remember whether it was before or after the hearings.
