Chinese battery component supplier. produces cobalt compound anode material for lithium ion batteries. FYE 5/31/08 produced eps of .13 vs .84 price.
PYR.v
Pyramid Petroleum is a Canadian driller operating exclusively in the Gulf of Mexico. PYR.v had an unusual Q2 because of disposition of noncore properties that created a loss. Cashflow was similar to Q1 at .11 for a forward cashflow of .44 vs current price of .69. Company is forecasting a large increase in production by yearend but the recent hurricanes may delay drilling and workovers.
SMF.to
Semafo is a Canadian company that operates three gold mines in three different countries in West Africa. Produced 54,000 oz of gold in Q2 and increasing production to around 60,000 for Q3. Recently increased ball mill capacity at newest mine so 2009 production should increase to 240-250,000 oz of gold. Earned .05eps for Q2 vs $1.01 share price. Semafo has reserves around 7 million oz of gold and big upside from exploration near all three mines.
