nsomniyak challenge - my picks
I am bucking the trend with my picks since they are all energy related. Nothing to write specifically about each of them. I choose them since they have natural gas exposure. They are ATPG, BEXP, GEOI, HUSA, TXCO. My theory is that there is some seasonality to them. Seems like every year about November they spike up. When does this contest end?
Of course I was playing the hurricane angle too although that could very well backfire. With Ike roaring through the gulf right when this contest starts there is a good chance that oil will spike as well as gasoline. So the decision, if it happens, will be to freeze early or wait till the November rally?
I did pick one none producer in GLBL. Again, the hurricane angle as they do construction for rigs in the gulf.
All of my picks are well off the 52 week high so plenty of room to run. All this is just my opinion and I very well could be way off.
