New $100 Contest: "Stocks Under Rocks"
With all due respect to Mr. Sheep, we all know the stories behind the stocks that make his list every PSL. Clearly he's a baaaaaaaaa-d ass stock picker without compare, but, let's face it, us stock junkies crave new fixes. In that spirit, my new contest seeks to reward that intrepid contestant who turns over that obscure rock, revealing a diamond stock in the rough. It's simple...I'll award $100 to contestant who:
1) Takes the nsomnyiak (BTW I hate trying to spell that name every 3 months) challenge. For those living under a rock while 9 PSLs have passed you by, the nsomnyiak challenge is simply a posting to this board describing in 2-3 lines why you like each of your PSL 10 picks. Trust me, it's good, reinforcing DD and it takes about 15 minutes at most.
and...
2) Has the best-performing (%) ORIGINAL (ie, from their initial 6 picks) pick during the contest.
and...(here's the "under the rock" angle)
3) Provided that pick was not chosen by ANYONE ELSE. In other words it is a unique selection made by that one and only one contestant. By way of example, I had three unique selections at the start of PSL9 (AGT, OCCF, and ZAGG).
Now, you might be wondering how you can be sure that your obscure diamond in the rough will turn out to be picked only by you. Bottom line, you can't. Nonetheless, I'm hoping this $100 carrot might get people to toss out some newer/obscurer ideas that us ravenous stock junkies can further DD.
