Posting Charts for dummies (or me)

I use this concept at work, and it took me a while to finger f' it but found after that long process, this is what works to avoid paying fees for anything.

Step 1, access the chart via whatever means or site you prefer, make your annotations and such.

Step 2, Once you have a pretty looking chart displayed on your screen, depress <print screen> button.

Step 3, Open up two applications of Windows Paint or something similar.

Step 4, access the first appication of Paint and go to the "Edit" menu, and depress "Paste".

Step 5, on the left column of icons (tool bar) there should be a "dotted box" icon. Select this icon. Point and drag the dotted box over the information that you wish to post in your message. With the box surrounding that information, go back to the "Edit" menu, and select the "copy" option.

Step 6, access the second application of paint and again, go to the "Edit" menu, and depress "Paste". You should now see that highlighted area infront of you. You can use paint further to highlight areas or make annotations.

Step 7, save the file as "<whatever name>".

Step 8, Access your prefered free file hosting website, I prefer "Photobucket". Upload "<whatever name>".

Step 9, After file is uploaded, select the image script and copy that into your message. When you post your message you should see the chart.

Step 10, Enjoy

To see this concept in practice please look at my signature where I have "borrowed" (out of good humor) a fellow forum member's pet photo, and placed a birthday hat on him. I used this method.

Cautionary note: If you wish to print it, open an application of microsoft word and repeat step 6 in word. This will automatically format it to fit on your page for printing purposes. After printing, you can hand draw annotations, scan it back into your computer and repeat the process. I understand its tedious, but it works really well.
