DFR goes ex-div on a special dividend this coming Friday.
That div represents about 8-9% of the share price.
Therefore the stock could come under accumulation, but will more than likely come under selling pressure the following Monday. I would expect the share repurchase program to kick in during that weakness.
Their debt is the reason for the low market cap.
So it may be a dividend bounce play, but the following Monday will probably be ugly, so investing and receiving the dividend is only a good idea if you are prepared to weather through some weakness in pps, which hopefully will be bolstered by the share repurachase program, and of course receipt of the dividend.
From a traders perspective, sell on a bounce by Friday.
Level 2 will be your guide for a bottom, as will the trend of the financial sector each day of the week.

The company announced today that its board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.085 per share on the company's common stock. On the dividend payment date, the company will also pay $1.7 million on account of accrued dividends with respect to the Series A preferred stock issued in late 2007, which was converted into common stock in March 2008. The record date for the common dividend is August 28, 2008, and the payment date will be October 15, 2008. The payment date for the accrued preferred dividend will be the same date
