Artistically and thematically, Orlando Agudelo-Botero has been consistent throughout his career.
Of great interest to him is the recurring theme of The Family, a subject matter to which he is committed to studying, sharing his insights and illuminating us each time.
In this new release, La Familia The Circle of Love, the artist wishes to emphasize the importance of communication between the parents as well as the privacy in the guiding process of children in the family, the intimacy and privacy of family life, which subsequently gives birth to the circle of love...
The mother at the center embraces and nourishes the children, represented by three oval shape forms, as the father on the outside protects and attends to the needs of his family.
Three main elements are present in this faithful piece;
The hands of the parents intertwined as a symbol of their communication and unity.
The rhythm in which the ingenious figures move and participate, contribute to the family dynamics
and at the center, a golden heart the quintessence of love.
La Familia, The Circle of Love has been created entirely in the artist's studio in Honolulu, Hawaii and it is been released in an edition of fifty, plus X artist's proofs, VII Publishers Proofs, V Hors Commerce and III Museum Proofs.
Created on Coventry Rag Vellum Paper 320 GMs.
It measures approximately 35” X 35” With hand torn edges.
Textures have been applied by hand creating a stunning finish.
