Well, Scottrade is not willing to bend... they insist (on the phone) that I can not place a sell order in above .0001 because they didn’t see bid/ask. Which seems to be BS, as my online account now shows bid .0001 and ask .0002 ... so I think they won’t give a non margin retail account (me) a break. Scottrade wants to make money, so I guess they would need an ask over .0003 just to take the spread, then give me only the .0001 price.
They won’t even take a .0002 sell, there’s no spread there. Which is what all brokers do. I don’t think large margined accounts over 25k get treated like this.
Here’s what happens to me. ... Cnes pps is .0001 right now...(what I wish would happen is ...) I sell my 400k @ .0005 on a bounce = 200.00,
((what usually happens)) ::
(1.) enter cnes R/S, 1 for 1000, announced 3:30pm Friday, name change to Cnoz and pps is .05 (est) for about 17 minutes ...
(2.) Cnoz does not settle in Scottrade account until Wednesday morning if lucky (can not trade unless settled) ..
(Scottrade does not allow non margined retail account to short sub penny)
(3.) Cnoz pps by Tuesday night has now dropped to .0005 or less.
(4.) I now have a shareholder value of 400 CNOZ shares @ .0005 = a whopping 0.20 CENTS !!
