nsom challenge + KiK
First let me start by saying that I'm not thrilled with my picks, because I don't feel like I unearthed any new gems....and that is often my goal for this competition. For some reason, either due to price points, recent microcap surges, or a little laziness on my part, I don't feel like my picks are anything special.
That said, for a competition like this where earning %'s is more important than finding that next gem, I feel like each and every one of these picks should generate positive gains for PSL9....we shall see. (late note: just noticed that all my picks except for DFNS have a China flavor to them...gee there's a surprise)
BJGL.OB - One of the more undervalued China plays that I'm following right now. If the company is legit (ahem), then we're an order of magnitude too low. I like the logistics angle; non-tech, yet still growth. For this competition, I'd like to see 100% out of this baby. I own shares.
CBTE - Not a friend for longer-term holders, but CBTE seems to have finally gotten an identity, and it's a little more clear where their growth is going to come from...China. If I'm agile enough, I should be able to get 50% on this just on trading alone, but if microcaps continue spurting, something closer to 75% could be in the cards. Don't own shares yet.
CNOA.OB - I was hesitant to pick CNOA because of the incessant selling by various unsundry MMs, but there's no more indication that CNOA's a scam now than before. The price point sub-$1 is attractive, and presents an opportunity for ~40% or so, more if the MMs stop bid-whacking. Not in love with this one, but am fine with trading it. Don't own shares at the moment.
DFNS.OB - Seems to make my PSL lists whenever it's sub-.40 at pick time. I'm fine w/ taking 30% and moving on. Seems like some reasonable catalysts are available, so I like DFNS's chances of helping me. Don't own shares yet.
ETLT.OB - Kind of a panic pick (would have preferred TGC), but last Q's #'s were pretty nice, and China micro momentum can certainly strike ETLT. There's an agro/livestock angle to ETLT that should garner it some attention, let alone it's fundamentals. I'd be very happy w/ 50%. Don't own shares yet.
YHGG.PK - One of the most consistently disappointing stocks that I follow. The story, as most of you know, is WAY too good to be true, so some aspect likely isn't. An audit and uplist would double+ the stock instantly, so this pick is like a lotto pick. Either a massive gain if the company follows thru w/ their intentions, or probably a 10% loser if not. I'm ok w/ that. Don't own shares yet, and likely won't until there's more progress w/ the uplist.
Solid DD combined with timeliness and conviction is a recipe for profits.
