Yes, it was all Heracles' fault, or if the eagle had gone for the brain instead of the liver, things may have been different.

Hubris, maybe, then again maybe not. In our relationship with our amorphous everything, do we have any real influence on temperature and climate? To trust the science, I guess, we have to trust the men behind it. Is it simply a more riches for the few thing, and just to make all the rest of us poor? Is it purely greed and hubris or is it not any of that, at all? It could as simply, just be a genuine concern, by genuine scientific men, to leave a cleaner and more sustainable world for our children. You may, but, I'll never be 100%, 100% certain. At least not in my lifetime on earth, heh, so I'll just lean to trusting the latest science and thinking that the people are truly concerned and know more than i do. that's a bit rough, but best this early, I can do.

You have me thinking, again, of how indulgent we are and how arrogant are we, in that we have committed genocide of the gods of our ancestors. Just think, we have lost so many wonderful stories of, shrewd Prometheus, i'd forgotten that some said that he was the creator of first man; of his clumsy brother Epimetheus, and of Titan, Iapetus, Cronus, Clymene, jealous Zeus; Menoetius, Tartarus, Atlas, Deucalion, the first man?, and wife Celæno .. sadly, we killed off them all and just replaced them with Adam and Eve, and a jelly-like 'God'. There was also Hellen, Hephæstus, Athena and wonderful, beautiful Pandora, ahhh, the women whom many blame for all evils; all on the basis of imaginary myth.

All those creative images of our ancestors, all gone to pot.

I guess our travails are basically Prometheus' fault in his fooling of Zeus. Then again if Zeus had been satisfied with his bare bones and not jealous of the meat destined for mankind? Or, was it Epimethius' and so love's fault, as without Epimetheus' love for Pandora, she would never have become his wife and so made it to earth; so would never have opened that jar full of all evils.

.. edit, oops, should give Achilles, a mention ..
