By admin on February 11th, 2008

The mobile web gains more visitors from “information seekers”each and everyday. AT&T and Verizon Wireless are selling more and more mobile devices that contain broadband and wireless internet capable. Infact, Blackberry services are now offered through almost all of the mobile network companies. Soon the mobile web will become a standard, if it hasn’t already. Major League Baseball has decided to use the expanding technology to their advantage.

Millennial Media, a leading interactive media company has added Major League Baseball to their list of clients, providing the MLB with cross-platform mobile advertising services. Providing a mobile website along with circulating ads across the mobile networks is only a few of the services offered by Millennial Media.

Millennial Media is now responsible for breaking news updates, live game information, player stats and more on the mobile website.

“Spring training is right around the corner, and the MLB.com mobile website will soon become an addiction for baseball’s massive base of devoted fans who don’t want to miss a pitch,” said Paul Palmieri, president and CEO, Millennial Media. “We are delighted to be partnering with MLB.com to bring the advertising community an effective new way to tap in to this enthusiastic and engaged audience.”

How many times have you checked score updates through your phone? Next time you are out somewhere, the airport, bar, or a sporting event; notice how many people are looking at an internet browser on their cell phones or mobile devices. You may be suprised.
