It's a complete virtual machine. Getting into the virtual machine is easy.
Control G (or clicking on the screen of the virtual machine) takes your inputs
(keystrokes, mouseclicks etc) to the virtual machine.
Control-Alt takes you back to your "real" machine.
Once you install the 172 meg download (that's just the VMWare Player),
then download the Nostalgia appliance. It's just 10 megs or so so.
Oh, it's also a torrent download instead of ftp or http,
so you'll need to install a torrent client. I used: http://www.utorrent.com/
I've also used Azureus in the past but this worked just fine.
The Nostalgia appliance will be a zip file.
Unzip it then click on the file that ends with .vmx.
Your virtual machine will start up from there.
When I initially clicked on the dos.vmx file,
it asked me if the file had been copied or moved.
I replied copied and that took care of it.
Or, you could try opening the dos.vmx file with notepad (it's just a text file)
and change this line to the appropriate location.

If it's in the same directory, what I have should work.
