All:

There has been much discussion about the merits (or lack of) of this board. It has been much, much improved since Churak agreed to help out here but we still feel that changes are needed.

"The Parking Lot" was created originally to give people a place to blow off steam and to settle personal disagreements without cluttering other boards. However, it has meandered far off this path.

It was never meant to be a cesspool filled with vulgarity, degradation of other's sexual preferences, one sided attacks on people who choose not to engage in this sort of dialog and/or vile personal attacks simply for the enjoyment derived from this.

We still see the value in maintaining this as a place for individuals to hash out personal differences and for off topic discussion by all.

However, there will be no further vulgarity above the PG13 level. Admin and Assistants on this board have the ultimate authority in this matter and what is deemed inappropriate.

Additionally, if someone would like to argue with another User, then they need to post a message here asking that the person meet them here. (If the person hasn't posted here and they can't reply to a previous message from the person they are inviting, then they can send a link via pm. If the person has them blocked, they can ask someone else to send it via pm.) If this "invitation" is not accepted, i.e. the person does not reply, then there is to be no further discussion of the individual.

To make this simple: I post on the Parking Lot - "MEAT, I want to talk to you here". He responds and then we air our grievances. He doesn't respond, I do not have the license to continue attacking him. The matter is dropped.

iHub is a place for people to discuss stocks and to chat with friends on appropriate boards. Again, we see the benefit of having a board that gives all Users a place to vent and/or to talk off topic. But, the "spirit" of the site needs to be felt on all boards.
