I am a Canadian with "substantial direct contact" with Aly Mawji, and you specifically asked for information with respect to his involvement in serious legal scams.
let me just confirm it as such.
Mawji, and svberal others especially in Vancouver BC Canada are NOT just very serious white collar criminals, they ALSO REPRESENT ORGANIZED white collar crime here in Canada.
As just one example, I am currently "in progress" via legal actions which pursue and describes Mawji as a white collar criminal with respect to his affairs at Norsemont Mining.
He has also been closely involved in too many companies to name, but besides Norsemont Mining (listed also in Germany) there is also De Beira Goldfields, Alma Resources, Georgia Exploration, Garnet Point and more.
At present, I can only say and point out that investing in Canada's financial markets as foreigners (Germany or anyone lese) is extremely dangerous as our securties laws against are virtually non existent.
Esentially Canadians are significantly cheating as our white collar crime is so prolific and our criminlas so numerous.
This involves NOT just shell manipulation PUMP and DUMP schemes, but also massive TIPPING (large scale cheating where some have priviledged NON PUBLIC INFORMATION), FAKE BIDS below the current market to make a company appear or look STRONG (LEVEL II QUOTES IN CANADA ARE NOT TRUSTWROTHY- Mawji himself claimed to have about 15 brokerage accounts and routinley called in BIDS with NO intention of filling them), late in the day buying or high closely and sophistocated schemes involving numerous white collar criminals INCLUDING stock brokers and newsletter writers.
In essence Canada has become a haven for white collar crime.
I also say this as an expert witness (stock broker of many years at substantial comanies) and also as a retired officer of the Queen (military).
I myself am looking for contacts and senior names at the German Bourse who are especially involved in securties laws and enforcement to shaer information with.
Aly Mawji has too many involvements in Canada to list. There is some quasi official info via the internet.
However, it is a STATE OF FACT as another example that there is ONE SERIOUS CIVIL LAW SUIT PENDING AGAINST NORSEMONT MINING which very seriously alleges both Aly Mawji and Marc Levy as white colar criminals. Their past involvement in Norsemont was at the highest levels.
BTW This law suit was filed almost two years AGO against Norsemont Mining, and although serious, was NEVER EVEN released to the public, nor was my dismissal for refusing to go along with their crimes, despite the fact that the BCSC and the Canadian RCMP are well aware of it.
Technically this largely implies something about Canada's goiverning officials and esentially states that the BCSC are now aiding and abetting criminals, to avoid embarassment and maintain public integrity.

PS - I am also a former VP Finance (and Corporate Communicatons) of Norsemont Mining (TSX: NOM) and state very openly and honestly that we (the company- NOM) were fully involved in serious and VERY ORGANIZED WHITE COLLAR CRIME.
Unfortunately, when I was hired I had NO IDEA about the serious white collar crimes being committed.
