BVR Systems to provide air defense simulator
BVR will work with an IAI unit on the project.
Globes' correspondent 2 Oct 07 12:35
BVR Systems (1998) Ltd. (Bulletin Board:BVRSF.OB) has reported a contract valued at $5.8 million for the provision of an air defense embedded simulator for an international customer.
BVR is the main subcontractor for the project and will provide major components of the system. MLM, a division of IAI, will act as the prime contractor.

The air defense embedded simulator is a live training solution, which is integrated with various short and medium range air defense systems. It provides networked and distributed mission training to air-defense operators in the field, by creating realistic battle-space conditions, including both live and virtual participants. The operator's actions are monitored and they receive real time feedback on the engagement results, using BVR’s high fidelity simulation models and scenario generator.

The simulator allows for training of air defense forces from the operator to the battalion level in scenarios ranging from pure virtual threats through scenarios with real aircrafts fitted with system up to hybrid scenarios of real and virtual threats.

Recently, BVR announced that it would integrate Israeli firm Nemesysco's Layered Voice Analysis technology into BVR's training systems.

"Layered Voice Analysis is designed for emotion detection. By measuring stress levels and other emotions of a person operating a flight simulator, one can get an idea about emotional and cognitive levels and add it to the overall calculation of the simulation results. In some cases, this may turn out to be a crucial factor in decisions based on these results ", said Nemesysco CEO Amir Liberman.

Rosh Ha'ayin-based BVR Systems (1998) Ltd. develops and markets advanced defense training and simulation systems. The firm trades on the OTC bulletin board with a market cap of $22 million.
