American Electric Technologies to Power Williams' Pipeline

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Electric Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AETI - News), the premium supplier of custom-designed power delivery solutions for the generation, transmission and utilization of energy, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Williams to provide M&I Electric power distribution and control systems for its natural gas pipeline compressor station in Mobile, Ala. Financial details of the transaction are undisclosed.


The project will require American Electric Technologies to expand Williams' compressor station with new motor controls, as well as to manufacture and install a new power control building. Specifically, AETI will deliver M&I Electric UL891-rated low voltage switchgear and UL-rated motor control centers in a UL-field certified and International Building Code-compliant power control room (PCR). Williams, through its subsidiaries, primarily finds, produces, gathers, processes and transports natural gas.

Under the terms of the contract, AETI will manufacture the completed UL PCR by the end of February 2008. AETI will also provide technical implementation services for start up and field commissioning.
