American Electric Technologies Announces 2007 Stockholders Meeting Date and Stockholder Proposals Deadline

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Electric Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AETI - News), the premium supplier of custom-designed power delivery solutions, today announced plans to hold its 2007 annual meeting of stockholders on November 7, 2007. In addition, the Company notes that stockholders of record as of the close of business on September 10, 2007 will be entitled to vote at the annual meeting or any adjournment thereof.

Deadline for Stockholder Proposals Pursuant to Rule 14a-8

The date on which the 2007 annual meeting of stockholders will be held constitutes a change of more than 30 days from the anniversary of the Company's 2006 annual meeting. As a result, pursuant to Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, the Company has set a new deadline for the receipt of stockholder proposals submitted pursuant to Rule 14a-8 for inclusion in its proxy materials for the 2007 annual meeting. The new deadline for delivering shareholder proposals to the Company is the close of business on September 10, 2007. Untereker, Corporate Secretary.
