Deep South picked the firm to provide data communications during hurricanes.

Ceragon Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: CRNT; TASE:CRNT) has deployed its FibeAir IP-MAX wireless radios for Deep South Communications LLC to provide continuous communications of mission essential data for use during tropical storms and major hurricanes.
Deep South chose Ceragon’s wireless solution in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The FibAir IP-MAX is designed to continue uninterrupted during a category 5 hurricane, providing continuous full motion IP video and site Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Ceragon's wireless technology will support communications between outfall control structures and associated pumping stations along the Mississippi, and the Emergency Operations Center in New Orleans. Ceragon's solution will enable primary communications between the outfall canals and back-up communications along the canals.

Ceragon president and CEO Ira Palti said, "Ceragon is proud to have been selected to provide a reliable communications infrastructure and a mission critical communications system that will be operational during future hurricanes. Ceragon's wireless solution will enable the level monitoring of Lake Ponchartrain and the outfall canals during future storms events or hurricanes that threaten the City of New Orleans."
