Well that's too bad. I initially thought Gamble's buying had as at least one objective the pushing of the PPS high enough to get TIV back in the Russell 2000/3000 indices. Apparently he had other purposes in mind, while he certainly did add quite a few shares to his already substantial holdings.
As it turned out, not only was the closing price today not high enough, TIV's market cap. as of the close today (and based on the share count in TIV's last SEC filing) was over a million dollars lower than it was on the key date last year ... even though TIV has an outstanding share count over 1.5 million shares higher than it had last year.
Lots of other stuff going on besides the Russell Reconstitution, which will hopefully provide increases in production and reportable reserves of oil and gas.
