(CRNT), , a leading provider of high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions, today reported results for the first quarter which ended March 31, 2007. Revenues for the first quarter of 2007 were $33.9 million, up 59% from $21.3 million for the first quarter of 2006 and 3% from $32.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. Net income in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the first quarter of 2007 was $2.6 million or $0.10 per basic share and $0.09 per diluted share. On a non-GAAP basis net income for the first quarter, excluding $390,000 of equity-based compensation expenses, was $3.0 million, or $0.11 per basic share and $0.10 per diluted share, compared to non-GAAP net income of $1.0 million, or $0.04 per basic and diluted share in the first quarter of 2006. (Refer to the accompanying financial table for reconciliation of GAAP financial information to non-GAAP.) Gross margin on a GAAP basis in the first quarter of 2007 was 36.3% of revenues. On a non-GAAP basis gross margin was 36.4% of revenues. Cash and cash equivalents, short- and long-term deposits and short- and long-term marketable securities totaled $29.5 million at March 31, 2007. "Based on strong demand from emerging markets, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, we are revising our revenue growth target for 2007 upward from an increase of around 25% to an increase of about 30% over 2006 ."
