So, there could be two thoughts when thinking about the above. We have one doc, Dr. Gregg C. Fonarow, who jumps to one of those two thoughts:

"demonstrating that the current guidelines may not be low enough to cut heart attack risk in most who could benefit"

Of course the other thought could be: That it demonstrates that they are chasing the wrong cat!

Now I don't want to claim (as I really don't know) which is correct, but it highlights how some of these docs gravitate (actually jump to) a conclusion that necessarily falls in line with their position. Rather than saying it needs more investigation and research. I have found that medical doctors are not as well grounded in science as certain other disciplines such as chemists or physicists.
