Sorry it took awhile to respond we have been extremely busy as you may have guessed. The Medtronic's Navigation and Breakaway's O-arm are not real time 3D. They make the claim in that they overlay 2D images into a 3D construct usually developed from CT or MRI scans. This has been available for years and from many manufactures. The Breakaway O-arm is a very nice product, I guess they just didn't realise the potential of 3D in their development? They can provide 360 degree scans and even create 3D constructs, but in my humble opinion it is nothing really new. If they were to attempt 3D real time they will have some difficulty, mostly our patent.

Yes the Dominion will be capable of many uses in the Operating Room and our whole purpose for Beta Testing is to determine its functionality in the many different variety of cases performed, typically these would be spinal surgery, orthopedic, vascular, neuro-vascular, pain management and several others, there are too many to list. Another key function is the CT aspect of the Dominion, when we first introduced the capability, we thought it to be trivial, but Physicians have told us otherwise, especially intra/post operative.

Once we have some results from Beta testing we will ofcourse display the data and clinical imagery. The next obvious questions will be where and when is Beta occurring. I can only say we will publically release the information when we can.

dembonz, if you are interested in some sort of participation I recommend you contact Mike Nessen directly with your contact info, his number is 800-900-9729 ext 102.
