Why it matters? Because the bias is real which has created much confusion on the subject. When coins are classified under cryptocurrencies it doesn’t say both cryptocurrencies and digital assets but only cryptocurrencies. Its to confusing to say both as many will not understand, but my point is that both trade in the crypto market under the banner of cryptocurrencies. Side by side do cryptocurrencies and digital assets look the same? They have similarities but digital assets and cryptocurrencies are different in how they function but trade in the same market and will continue to do so. I understand the argument, but when it is laid out or asked I have noticed that the thread is not created to simply understand the differences between a cryptocurrency and a digital asset. Its usually stated to suggest that XRP does not belong trading in the crypto market but rather should be trading in the stock market because it doesn’t meet the definition of a cryptocurrency. These types of threads can be found on Twitter which most of time is made against XRP and never XLM although it is a digital asset as well. #thebiasisreal
