What would a hostile takeover even solve? No way would people give up xrp that is actually used for a clone for sole purpose of trying to stop a successful company solving a real problem.

If someone wants to attach xrp to drive the price down, you know xrp army will gladly gobble up even cheaper xrp as day after day Ripple is just killing it with partnerships and use of xrp.
