F6 - I can say this. My house is 495 above sea level. We do get some winter weather, but we're not the Dakotas. It gets cold, but it's brief really. We don't get 6 feet of "lake effect" snow overnight. We get some heat and humidity, but it ain't like the swamps of GA and LA...
We don't get tornadoes... well a small one once in a great while, but they sort of just touch down briefly. Springfield, MA saw one a few years back... Just south of there Bradley Airport got one back in the 70s
The ground stays in one place.. That's a plus.
The entire local area doesn't occasionally burn to the ground... That's nice too.
And best of all, I get 7 gallons of fresh water per minute. I hit that at 60 feet and went down 100 feet more.
So all things considered, Southern New England's not a bad place to be.. most of the time. Right now I think I need a place for the winter months.
