Dot VN, Inc. Begins Worldwide Registration of Top Level Domain .VN Web Extension

SAN DIEGO, Aug 15, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Dot VN, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Dot VN" or the "Company") (www.dotVN.com) (Pink Sheets:DTVI), an Internet and telecommunications company, and the exclusive global domain name registrar for the country of Vietnam, announced that beginning August 14, 2006, at 2:30 AM PDT, the top level ".vn" web extension has been released worldwide for registration. The release of the top level ".vn" web extension offers companies and businesses the opportunity to register these web addresses. Prior to the release of the top level ".vn" web extension, individuals and businesses could only register third-level domains such as ".com.vn", ".org.vn", or ".net.vn". Beginning today, individuals and companies can register the top level domain ".vn." Currently, Dot VN is the sole and exclusive global domain name registrar for the country of Vietnam, capable of providing registration over the Internet at its web address: www.VN.
The release of the top level ".vn" web extension is a historic technology milestone for the country of Vietnam, Dot VN, Inc., and its government partner, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center ("VNNIC"). Since 2003, Dot VN has been the only company responsible for marketing, promoting, and registering the Vietnamese domains and web extensions online.
