Thanks for the post Navycmndr, just curious what your thoughts are from the quote below that was in the article you posted?
Does this mean it’s likely it takes Fannie Mae years to get out from Govt control??....not good if that’s the sentiment.


“The companies would remain under government control until privately backed competitors emerge and gain market share, a process that could take years, the people said.”

What the above statement says is they would keep F&F in conservatorship until there are enough competitors that they can wind down F&F without a big impact on the mortgage market.

Not good news for common shareholders. But then again - unlikely.
