I disagree. Many companies make announcements of a takeover, new company officers or change of business direction. And also announce that they will be doing a name and symbol change (and sometimes a reverse or forward split), prior to having it approved by FINRA.
Generally they wait until the FINRA process is completed before making announcements about company acquisitions or business deals.
FireFish was really bad about company updates, as well as financial filings. I hope GIFA (Kisa) will be more open about the company (like he seems to be in the Turkish/Cyprus Press), once the FINRA actions are completed. I mean Geez, it only costs $100 to make an announcement via IHUB Newswire.
