hookrider, and all, this may or may not be helpful in handling existing anxiety about Ajit Pai's success in wiping your net neutrality rules.

Net neutrality: The digital landscape set to change as the US moves to overturn regulations

This is all happening in the US so what does it mean for Australia?
There are no official laws or regulations on net neutrality in Australia.
In fact, some actions from Australian internet providers actively act against net neutrality principles.
One example is where companies provide unmetered access to popular content (such as the ABC's iview), creating a two-tier system of free versus paid data streaming.
"We don't have a public interest concept of net neutrality, but nonetheless there has been a lot of concern about broadband services in Australia, particularly slow broadband speeds," Dr Rimmer said.
"Turnbull's federal government has given the ACCC a job to monitor NBN broadband speeds across the country so in Australia we have to rely upon consumer law and competition polity."
Apparently strong consumer laws seem to be one of the keys in Australia. So for you guys there looks (perhaps, not sure) a link to your future internet experience situation and Trump's attack on the CFPB.
