I mix medical marijuana with medical heroin (opioid narcotics) to alleviate osteoarthritis in my hip, recovering from a hip arthroscopic surgery & osteoplasty this year, & I still feel a great deal of pain, but the medical marijuana honestly helps to alleviate the arthritic symptoms & mask the pain overall much more than any opioid painkillers I've taken & I've taken several different kinds. So my guess is yes, marijuana based pain medications will takeover the opioid painkiller market in a big way, since there is an opioid crisis that people are actually dying from & there have been no recorded instances in which people overdose & die from medical marijuana.
