I think more than their OS being part of the problem, the OS is THE problem.

The Windows Creators Update has crashed my laptop several times recently. Sleep doesn't work any more. Hibernate crashes when it does Automatic Updates. There is no user control for just being notified of updates without applying them automatically. The OS just shuts down the machine and exits all open programs whenever it does automatic updates - so I don't know what has been closed from the previous session.

I'm absolutely fed up with Microsoft. I'm migrating my home machines to Chromebooks and will continue to do so as they get more capabilities. I will keep and upgrade Windows machines only where I need to use Adobe CC, video editing software, etc. But on the whole, Microsoft is on the way out.
