The deal now expected to arrive tomorrow that hands many of the entertainment assets of Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX, FOXA) to Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) is coming at a price that values Fox as a whole at just over $40/share.
Disney's not taking all of Fox -- Fox would retain its news operations, Fox Sports 1 and its broadcast network -- but it would be paying about $29/share to Fox for the media assets it wants.
That news has FOXA on the move after hours: up 1.4% to $33.20. FOX is up 2.8% to $33.25. Disney is flat in postmarket trading so far.
The deal's expected to be all stock, with Disney assuming some Fox debt in the process.
