High end malls will survive. Malls around the bay area are packed every weekend. But they are charging. More restaurants, activities, and the like. What are struggling are the anchor departure stores, and I am sure those will be repurposed. They would make ideal loft style residential locations. If GIGL can get its act together, there is more than enough demand.
